Its place on the National Highway-1, and that also just 18 KMs from Indo-Pak International border makes it a notable milestone and source of fascination for the tourists who see a daily occasion of intriguing beating-retreat ceremony at the Wagah Border. It's intended to immortalize the actions of courageous soldiers to inspire and enhance the spirit of patriotism in childhood.


The hallmark of this glorious campus is a 45-metre high stainless steel sword around the principal edifice. It represents the courage and strength of the people of Punjab while protecting the nation in the hour of need. This iconic architecture stands atop a round system surrounded by water. Names of almost 3500 martyrs are inscribed in the memorial constructed at an altitude of meters.


The planned project is called as"Punjab State War Heroes Memorial & Museum" & may include 45 meters high Sword to be installed from the central vista of this museum using the following 8 galleries constituting the sacrifices and heroic actions in the times of the sixth Pro until Kargil operations:

  • Gallery 1- Orientation and Antiquity.
  • Gallery 2- Guru Hargobind Ji till rise of Sikh Empire.
  • Gallery 3- The Sikh Empire And Anglo-Sikh Wars.
  • Gallery 4- British Rule up to Partition (1846-1947).
  • Gallery 5- J&K Ops 1947-48.
  • Gallery 6- Indo China War 1962.
  • Gallery 7- Indo-Pak Wars (1965-1971) and OP Pawan/OP Cactus.
  • Gallery 8- Kargil War 1999.
